Welcome to Flavortown
In August 2023 we had the opportunity to be on a new Guy Fieri show launching in spring of 2024 called Best Bite in Town on the FoodNetwork! When producers told us we were selected because former guests submitted us to DDD (Diners, Drive Ins and Dives) we jumped at the chance to compete with five other local restaurants highlighting the amazing food scene in Placerville, CA!
This show was just what we needed to “show off” our amazing team and what they do, day in and day out literally! We chose with the help of our supporting chef Joe Sasto our two items to present to celebrity judges, our signature sandwich: The Angry Pit Master & Margie’s Four Berry Cobbler- basically a perfect BBQ meal!
Our result was a finalist spot on the main stage and a great time had by all! This was an amazing experience and appreciate Guy’s team and all who made this happen to share with our BBQ fans.

The Sacramento Bee’s Top 50 Restaurants of 2024 spans from Winters to Placerville and across the four-county region, and includes first-rate taquerias alongside Michelin-starred concepts. It illustrates the diverse region’s wealth of culinary options and the bounty of produce available from local farms, which top chefs artfully fold into jaw-dropping dishes. This list was compiled based on food writer Benjy Egel’s reviews over the past 11 months.
